It's been a well-studied fact for years now that kids who play sports at a young age have far more success in college, their career and social life.

Studies have shown that students with a high level of exercise have better relationships with their parents, are less depressed and have higher grade point averages than students with a generally low level of exercise.

Athletes are even known to score higher on measures of mentoring and emotional intelligence and have higher salaries through the first ten years of their careers than their non-athlete counterparts.

So… what's the single best way to motivate a young basketball player or athlete to have fun, score points and practice regularly?

You guessed it, by training their vertical jump to dunk!

Take me for example...

Before I ever started any kind of training, my peers never considered me as “athletic”. At least that’s what they had me believe. I was just some nerdy kid who liked to play ball during recess.

In middle school I knew I was smart, so I focused more on fitting in, because I knew I could get good grades with a breeze. I figured the quickest way to fit in was sports! I already loved sports, I just never played on a team.

When it came to playing on my school’s team, I always ended up riding the bench! Granted occasionally I would get to go in for the last :10 seconds of a game that was basically already over.

As a young athlete I would always look for ways to train, or how to become more “athletic”.

Until, one day I came across VertShock. A program unlike any other!

I say this because unlike other methods, joining this program gave me the results I longed for within 8 weeks. I was even able to increase my vertical jump by 5 inches in a little over 3 weeks!

VertShock is an 8 week program that focuses on your elastic muscle fibers and targets the specific muscle fibers that turn your legs in springs. No need for weights or fancy equipment. Use motions that are natural to jump.

None of those box jumps, heavy squats or dead lifts & ONLY 30 minutes per session!

Training helped me create an effective routine that I carried throughout my adolescence and even today. It also helped me increase my will power. Holding yourself accountable day in and day out is a great trait for anyone to learn. I was able to push past those lazy days and created a habit that has lasted forever.

This even carried over to my studies. Being considered “athletic” really made things easier in high school. I didn’t need to have to focus on fitting in, I was able to get back to being a nerd without the judgement! Oh, and I started to get that playing time I so rightfully deserved!

All was right in the world. I was on my way to graduating top 10% in my class, I had reached my athletic goals, and was on my way to college! I eventually gained the confidence to walk onto my college’s basketball team. I never made it off the practice squad but that’s because I was a senior by then.

Needless to say training with VertShock really had a positive impact on my life and was 100% worth it. See testimonials of several others who have experienced rapid result with this program.

As a father I now use the basic fundamentals I have gathered from training to help be a better parent. I have even implemented some into my young athletes! Just from engaging my kids into competitive activities their confidence has grown.

I have seen tremendous growth in their mental toughness and ability to handle adversity. My oldest used to get picked on and was afraid to play ball with the other boys. We engaged in some agility and training drills at home and he gained the confidence he needed to get out there and compete with his peers.

No matter the program or sport find a way to get your young athlete engaged! The results can be endless!
